Champagne & Chapters Book Club is where Black love takes center stage, one page at a time. We’re a vibrant community of romance lovers who celebrate the magic of African American love stories—whether sweet, steamy, or downright scandalous.

With a glass of bubbly in one hand and a swoon-worthy book in the other, we dive into deep discussions, laugh over love triangles, and gush over our favorite book boyfriends. Whether you’re here for the spice, the HEAs, or the sisterhood, you’ll find your tribe at Champagne & Chapters.

                                                                              Welcome to Champagne & Chapters Book Club!

We’re a virtual book club dedicated to celebrating African American romance—whether it’s sweet, sultry, or downright spicy. To make sure everyone has an enjoyable experience, here are our rules and policies:

1. Respect & Inclusivity

  • All members must be respectful and open-minded. Disagreements are natural, but personal attacks, hate speech, or discrimination will not be tolerated.

  • This is a judgment-free zone—whether you love soft romance or extra-spicy reads, all opinions are valid.


2. Book Selection Process

  • Books will be chosen via monthly voting in our Facebook group.

  • Our selections focus on African American romance.

  • Members are encouraged to suggest books, but they must align with the club’s theme.


3. Participation Expectations

  • Members should aim to read at least 50% of the book before discussions.

  • If you can’t finish a book, you’re still welcome to join—key plot points may be spoiled if you didn’t finish.

  • Engagement is key! Comment on posts, join discussions, and share your thoughts.


4. Virtual Meetings & Discussions

  • Meetings will be held monthly via on a platform TBA.

  • Meeting reminders will be sent in advance, and RSVPs are appreciated.


5. Spoiler Policy

  • Use spoiler warnings if posting about the book before the official discussion.

  • Spoilers are allowed during meetings, but try not to reveal major twists too early.


6. Social Media & Privacy

  • No screenshots, recordings, or sharing private discussions without consent.

  • Tagging authors is allowed but should be respectful (praise is welcome, but criticism should stay within the group).


7. No Promotion Without Permission

  • Personal book promotions, unrelated events, or spam are not allowed.

  • Author and blogger promotions must be approved by moderators before posting.


8. Handling Conflicts & Moderation

  • If conflicts arise, they will be handled privately by moderators.

  • Repeated violations may result in temporary or permanent removal from the group.

  • This is a drama-free space—members creating toxicity will be warned or removed.

  • Membership is open to readers who genuinely love African American romance.


Content Warnings & Trigger Warnings

  • Some books may include sensitive themes. Content warnings will be provided in book selections.

  • Members should discuss these topics with care and sensitivity.
